When she walked into our lobby, Tiana was no stranger to My Brother's Keeper. For decades, she worked as a case manager for a local social service agency and had referred many clients to us for furniture, food, and Christmas assistance. But this was the first time she visited our ministry. It would be an experience she would not forget.

During the tour, I shared what happens at the end of every delivery. We're often thanked profusely for the items we brought. Our response is always the same. We offer recipients a crucifix as a gift for their home and say, "You don't need to thank us. We're just the delivery people. This is who provided your furniture/food".

Tiana stood there, gazing at the crucifix. "When I came to this country 30 years ago, you brought me furniture. I didn't realize it was My Brother's Keeper until just now, when I saw this." and she help up the crucifix. 'It's still hanging on my wall."

"Over the years, Tiana didn't attribute the help she received to My Brother's Keeper. Instead, she gave credit to Jesus who answered her prayer in her time of need."
