Two New Board Members

Two talented men recently joined the My Brother’s Keeper Development Board:
Paul A. Quaranto, Jr. and Brian J. Walsh. Both reflect a new and growing dynamic: their children are the ones who introduced them to My Brother’s Keeper.

PAUL A. QUARANTO, JR.

Paul was recently elected President of Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company in Canton by its Board of Directors, only the 7th person to hold the position in the company’s 120 year history.

He and his wife, Susan, live in Franklin and they have three adult children: Peter, Dan, and Laura.

Peter was the first Quaranto to volunteer at My Brother’s Keeper while attending Notre Dame. He participated in our Urban Plunge retreat and was a summer intern in 2003. Dan followed suit while at Xaverian Brothers and Laura is sophomore at Stonehill College and a current volunteer.

“It is true that we learn from our children,” said Paul. “I am humbled to be involved with such an amazing organization that does such great work in the community.”

BRIAN J.WALSH

Brian is executive vice president and head of Investor Services Technology Division at State Street Corporation.

He and his wife Ellen live in Holbrook. They have four adult children, Andy, Meg, Steve and Laura, who have helped wrap gifts during our Christmas program with their grandmother, volunteer Therese Doherty.

Brian spent a day on our trucks this summer delivering furniture to families in need to get a first-hand view of our work.

“It was a tremendous experience. Inspiring,” Brian recalled. “It’s an honor to be involved here. I’ve seen with my own eyes that volunteers get as much from My Brother’s Keeper as those who receive our help.”
