Sean and Camille (Fitzpatrick) Markey recently sent us a generous donation accompanied by a picture and wonderful story.

They came to My Brother’s Keeper in January 1999 to participate in our Urban Plunge retreat. Though both attended the University of Notre Dame, they had never met before that weekend.

Sean and Camille became friends through their gift of service, began dating shortly after, and have been married since 2007!

They now call Worcester home. Sean is a psychologist in private practice and Camille is the Associate Director of the Center for Christian-Jewish Learning at Boston College.

“We’ve always enjoyed reminiscing about and sharing the story of how we met at My Brother’s Keeper. We still have the cross and the jar filled with rice and walnuts that you gave us,” wrote Camille and Sean. “Your ministry has clearly touched many people over the years. We wanted you to know how it touched our lives by bringing us together.”
