Annual Mass of Gratitude begins the Christmas Season!

The annual Mass of Gratitude is the kickoff for the Christmas season at My Brother's Keeper. We come together in family and community to thank God and ask His blessing on the year's Christmas effort.

The mass is held in our operation center on the Friday following Thanksgiving. It is a great opportunity for families to find out about our ministry and sign up for wrapping and delivering volunteer opportunities during the Christmas season.

This altar, used during our Annual Mass of Gratitude, is constructed of food and furniture that will be given to families that we serve. The main structure consists of a nightstand and new twin box spring, and the sides are supported with food from our food pantry. Behind the altar we display gift baskets, toys, and bikes that will be given to children during our upcoming Christmas Giving program.

Families meet and greet each other as we gather for the mass.  Some families involved with our ministry span as many as four generations!

Nearly 500 people gathered for this year's Mass of Gratitude to celebrate the start of the Christmas Season at My Brother's Keeper.

Student volunteers from area schools do readings from scripture for our mass.

We thank all who made our Annual Mass of Gratitude a wonderful community event!
